“Oak Pasture - Four Seasons and a Sword” is a Zine for Mausritter & will be released in the next days to Zine Month 2022.

I started writing it because I wanted to get a grip of Mausritter last year & it was expanded ever since.

To start off, what is inside Oak Pasture?

Besides the region itself as a hexmap, its rumours and factions, there are 5 adventures in it and three homebrew rules from the Mausritter community (btw: check out this amazing community!).

The adventures are loosely coupled & independent of each other. Most of them are written with the different seasons in mind. Each adventure comes with titles the Mausritter might acquire & be known for, but also might contain new beasts, items and spells.

There are 11 factions & groupings. 2 of them are passive & some kind of legends, although one adventure hints at the background of one of those factions. 6 are minor factions that shall inspire for plots, goals or even ranks the Mausritter want to join.

The other factions are major players. There are 3 of them and we start off with Cat Duchess Iris Sharpclaw. She lost her spouse in the Great Fairy War and is filled with grief ever since. Most of all she tries to fight her loneliness.

The Striped Templars are zealous Chipmunks, an order of chivalry. They eliminate threats to the Oak Pasture and its denizen while looking for the Sacred Nut, a relict that shall be able to beat the cruelness of Winter.
